Biography:

Ron Austin earned his BA at The Evergreen State College in 1991 and a Master of Education from the University of Washington in 2005. While at Evergreen he studied film, computer science, and multimedia. The emphasis of his master’s degree was on instructional design and interactive media. For his thesis project, he developed an educational animated kiosk for the Museum of Radio and Electricity in Bellingham, WA. It was on display for over six years from 2005-2011. Recently he has been working to produce independent films and interactive media. He co-directed Making Noise (2010), a documentary about avant-garde music, and Estate of Mine (2011), a short fiction film. Both films were accepted to local film festivals.
