Bellevue College’s Information Technology (IT) Associate in Applied Science – Transfer degree addresses how to connect computers and other resources in a network, perform network maintenance tasks, and install and configure hardware and software. In addition to technical content, the degree includes skills in communication (oral, written and listening), general business, teamwork and problem solving.

With curriculum updated every year to meet industry and business demands, this degree prepares graduates for entry-level technical support/network administrator positions and for continuation to a baccalaureate institution. This program includes study in the following certification areas: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and Azure AZ 900.

Degree and Certificates Offered

The Associate of Applied Science-Transfer (AAS-T) degree in Information Technology prepares students for admission into the BAS Cybersecurity program. Upon completion of the AAS-T students will be able to directly apply all 90 credits towards the 180 credit BAS program. It typically takes an additional two years for students to complete the remaining bachelor’s coursework at a full-time status.

Cybersecurity, BAS

The BAS Cybersecurity is a 4-year, 180-credit program that prepares students for various careers in Information Security. Degree will provide students with a broad base of theoretical and technical knowledge, as well as specialized knowledge in Cybersecurity.

Information Technology, AAS-T

The Information Technology (IT) is a 2-year, 90-credit program that is designed for both those seeking immediate employment in the IT Networking industry or preparing for continuation into a baccalaureate program. Students can apply all 90 credits to the BAS Cybersecurity at BC.

Application and Desktop Support Specialist, Certificate

The Application and Desktop Support Specialist Certificate is a 1-year, 45-credit certificate that covers support of computers across LANs, application-level technical assistance to end-users and creation of written documentation.

Network Support Specialist, Certificate

The Network Support Specialist Certificate is a 1-year, 46-credit certificate that addresses design, configuration and support of networks and Internetworks in implementations based on current Cisco Internetworking hardware.
