International Studies is an interdisciplinary department which offers students the background for understanding current international realities and world affairs.

At Bellevue College we draw on the resources of our existing faculty and offer a considerable diversity of courses in International Studies for students in their first two years of college. Our offerings combine the type of courses offered in the University of Washington’s International Studies Program along with courses in geography and international business. We recommend that students also take course in contemporary languages if they plan to continue on in International Studies in their upper division work or in graduate school. For more information about our courses, distribution requirements, special offerings, and links to some of the faculty who teach the courses, see our course catalog.
