About the Festival

Greetings fellow band directors.  I hope you had a wonderful summer and are hitting your stride this fall!  I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in THE 24TH ANNUAL BELLEVUE COLLEGE JAZZ BAND FESTIVAL 2020. We are especially excited to announce this year’s guest artist, Cuban-American drummer Ignacio Berroa. Ignacio is without question, one of the greatest drummers in the jazz idiom. Jazz Legend Dizzy Gillespie best defined Ignacio as:

“… the only Latin drummer in the world in the history of American music that intimately knows both worlds: his native Afro Cuban music as well as Jazz…”

Over the past few years we have worked to improve the musical and educational experience for you and your students, and this year is no different!
All preliminary performances will be live-streamed on the Bellevue College website.
