As a result of high demand on campus, the Office of Sustainability, PALS center, and the Sustainable Foods Group have partnered to organize a weekly Fresh Produce Market.

  • Day: Thursdays
  • Location: C-building Courtyard
  • Dates: May 1th-June 12th
  • Payments: Cash, Debit/Credit*
  • Distributor: Charlie’s Produce

Local
Although individual definitions of local can vary; one of the primary goals of the Fresh Produce Market is to obtain products from as many local farmers as possible (within 250 miles of campus).  Sometimes this will vary depending on product availability.

The table below lists the farms, their location, organic or not, for all the produce that was on hand during the Fresh Produce Market held at Earth Week 2014.

*Forms of payment: Cash is accepted at the Fresh Produce Market; but if you would like to pay with a Credit/Debit card you will have to weigh your produce at the market, get your total weight, pay inside the C-building at the PALS center with your card and then come back with your receipt to pick up your produce.

Produce at the market may vary from week to week depending upon availability.  If there are products that you would like to see at the market you are encouraged to write down your request at the Fresh Produce Market.  The Market strives to provide a diverse variety of fresh produce and your feedback is appreciated.
