BC Ridematch Hosts First Meet & Greet Event

Are you having trouble finding a carpool to campus? Do you have friends who would like to carpool?

The Office of Sustainability’s Ridematch program challenges students to try alternative transportation or at the least split the costs of commuting to save both time and money. The BC Ridematch site allows students to add themselves to a database of potential students in their area who take similar routes to get to campus. Students who form these carpools and log trips through our database are automatically entered into our monthly drawings. These incentives can come in the form of gift cards, cold hard cash, or many other great prizes!

The program recently hosted a Meet & Greet event in the BC Commons on May 21st. Students were given the opportunity to network with other students and find potential commuters from their areas. With prize raffles and refreshments the event helped bring awareness to the importance of recognizing our CO2 emissions and considering alternative transportation options.

BC Ridematch is not a one-time event and requires ongoing participation to make it work! We invite all students to register into our database and start saving time and money now! http://www.bellevuecollege.edu/sustainability/we/transportation/ridematch/
