Jayashree Pulacode has been teaching multi-level ESL and workplace literacy to students at Bellevue College for the last five years.
In her Working in English class, Students learn about American work culture, clear and effective communication and gain practical knowledge about filling out work related forms, emails etc.
“I am actively involved in trying to bridge the cultural, social, and language barriers faced by most non-English speakers and in helping the students become self-sufficient and lead a successful life in the United States. I consider it to be a privilege to be a part of their success story.”
Prior to working at Bellevue college, Jayashree has taught ESL at Renton Technical College and successfully managed ESL programs at community based organizations like HopeLink and OneAmerica.
