Brief description of some Environmental Science classes:

ENVS 207: Field & Lab Methods in Environmental Science

An introductory lab course with no prior course requirements. Students explore the interconnection between soil, air, water, and plant life to develop a well-rounded understanding of ecological principles. Students work in teams to visit local environments, learning to make measurements, collect samples and analyze them using laboratory equipment. The class offers a unique opportunity to satisfy natural science credits through an interactive, hands-on approach to environmental science in a supportive classroom setting.

ENVS 150: Puget Sound Ecology

Explore the unique natural history, ecosystems and environmental issues of the Puget Sound Region. Learn how physical forces, biological diversity and human society interact to shape our bioregion. Includes field trips to Puget Sound terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. This course is suitable for introductory science students and fulfills the natural science lab requirement.
