Biography:

I am an Agronomist by training. My first degree in General Agriculture was completed at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad campus. I completed my Masters in Applied Plant Science at Wye College (University of London). My Ph.D. was granted by the University of Hawaii in Agronomy where I specialized in legumes.

I worked as an Agronomist for the Government of Trinidad and managed a nature center in Trinidad called the Wild Fowl Trust. I joined Bellevue College in 2005 as a tutor and eventually became one of the adjunct faculty teaching Biology, Nutrition and Environmental Science. When I am not working, I am taking care of my two kids, and my dog.  I have volunteered for multiple Environmental Organizations.

I am originally from Jamaica and moved to Trinidad at age 10. I have also lived in England and Hawaii. I moved to Washington State in 1997 when I married my husband.

I enjoy teaching and I consider myself a science nerd, and I hope some of you do too!
