  • The Screening Committee training allows employees to actively participate in the recruitment and selection process at Bellevue College, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to workforce development. If you are passionate about equity in the workplace and wish to make a meaningful impact on our community, serving on the Screening Committee could be an ideal role for you. To be considered, you must attend the required training courses. 
  • Coaching at Bellevue College is offered through The Office of Human Resources as a service to employees. Workplace coaching is a collaborative and personalized process aimed at facilitating professional development. Coaching can provide numerous benefits, such as clarifying goals, improving self-awareness, enhancing skills, increasing accountability, boosting confidence, overcoming obstacles, and achieving personal or professional growth. 
  • Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue attendees learn the skills of the world’s best communicators, gaining the confidence and ability to engage in dialogue when stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. 
  • Crucial Conversations for Accountability builds on the skills learned in Crucial Conversations and applies them to specific scenarios where accountability is needed. By taking Crucial Accountability, a person can learn how to diagnose the root causes of poor performance, influence behavior changes without damaging relationships, and deal with resistance and defensiveness. Crucial Accountability can help people improve their personal and professional results and create a culture of accountability in their team or organization. 
  • Supervisory Excellence Learning Program at Bellevue College, we recognize the challenges our supervisors face on a day-to-day basis and have developed a series of comprehensive trainings to help them excel in their role, develop their employees, and keep their department(s) on track. Through these programs, supervisors should be able to develop holistic supervisory skills that they can implement immediately. In our training, we will address questions regarding policies and procedures at Bellevue College and equip our supervisors with effective management tools. These trainings are interactive and will provide supervisors a chance to learn from the experiences of their peers as well as share their own experiences and knowledge.
  • LinkedIn Learning is a Bellevue College licensed resource providing vast online training material. This fantastic resource is available to all students and employees with current Bellevue College login credentials. 
  • Book Clubs cultivate a growth mindset in a friendly, relaxed, open atmosphere. 
  • Fireside Chats allow us to engage in relaxed yet informative discussions with guest speakers who are experts in tools essential to our daily work. Gain practical tips and valuable insights as Power Users share their expertise, demonstrating how these tools benefit our college. 
  • Lunch and Learn events offer networking opportunities and a variety of learning opportunities that employees can apply at work or home. 
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers free, confidential work/life resources. 
  • HR partners with TIAA-CREF to bring multiple workshops on personal finance and retirement planning.
