VJFESTIVAL
We are excited for the 2020 Bellevue College Vocal Jazz Festival. The Festival is designed to provide both a competitive and/or “comment only” type performance event for Vocal Jazz Choirs. This is a great opportunity to get an excellent mid-year experience in hearing other fine jazz choirs, vocalists, adjudications and clinics. We are also pleased to again include a vocal soloist component at this year’s festival. The ensemble part will include a warm up, 25-minute performance, and 25-minute clinic. The Solo portion will include a warm up, 15-minute rehearsal/performance with Professional Rhythm Section (Provided by Bellevue College).

Our annual festival is a collegial experience for each vocal jazz choir to perform and celebrate vocal jazz with each other, and then receive a clinic/adjudication on their performance from accomplished educators and clinicians.

The Bellevue College Vocal Jazz Festival 2020 will feature Middle School and High School Vocal Jazz Group Performances as well as an end of the day Gala concert with the acclaimed “Bellevue College Jazz Singers” and Special Guest Artist – outstanding singer – Jeff Baker.

All performances are FREE to the public beginning at 8:00AM and concluding at with the Final Gala.

This year we plan to have a slight variation on the final concert. We will end the day with a 5PM Concert and Award Ceremony. We have found that many groups would like to get on the road after the dinner hour – so we hope this will accommodate ensemble and school needs.
