Title: Canvas Procedures and Guidelines
Delivery Mode: Asynchronous Online
Hours: 2
Description
This course provides guidance on using Canvas tools to meet higher education compliance requirements. Faculty will apply these skills to ensure the integrity and proper management of their Canvas course content.

Title: Canvas 101: Teaching with Excellence
Delivery Modes: Asynchronous Online with course open and close dates
Hours: 8
Description
This course provides an introduction to using the Canvas Learning Management System. Faculty will create a basic course in Canvas and view core functions from a students’ prospect.

If you have not taken Canvas 101 but believe you already have the knowledge/skills that are taught in Canvas 101, you may choose to have one or more of your courses reviewed against a Canvas 101 Skills and Knowledge checklist.

Title: Essential Components of a Quality Online Course
Delivery Mode: Hybrid. Participants must be available to attend two virtual class meetings (one 90-minute, and one 45-minute meeting). Additional time in Canvas is required.

Description
This online course includes the review of 16 design elements, checklists and quality standards that are essential for a quality online course. Participants review their own courses against this list, share ideas with their colleagues, and reflect on ways to improve their course design.

During this course, faculty will assess their level of knowledge and skill required to teach online, learn some tech basics, and develop a plan to improve skills.

Delivery Mode: Poly-synchronous: Primarily asynchronous with one synchronous requirement (You and one other participant will meet on a mutually available day for up to one hour)

The purpose of this course is to help you continue developing an equity mindset and add evidence-based practices to your online teaching toolkit while learning with and from valued colleagues.

Title: Copyright for Educators
Delivery Modes: Asynchronous Online with course open and close dates
Hours: 2
Description
In this course, we will clarify the basics of copyright law and look more closely at other topics that are specifically relevant to Educators, such as the public domain, fair use, the TEACH Act, Creative Commons (CC), and Open Educational Resources (OER).

Title: Accessibility Review with an Instructional Designer
Delivery Modes: Blended, Asynchronous online content, remote meetings
Hours: 3
Description
In this course you will collaborate with an instructional designer to learn about the accessibility tools and use them to identify the issues in one of your Canvas courses. With the instructional designer, you will develop strategies to remediate accessibility issues and make your Canvas course more equitable.
