Do I need a parking permit?

Yes. A valid Bellevue College parking permit is required for all vehicles parked on campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What if I need a parking permit for one day?

Daily parking permits may be purchased with cash using the parking meters in lots 12 and 16, the Public Safety office and the north side of the gymnasium.

What if I need a 2-day parking permit for days other than Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday?

To purchase a two day permit for days other than Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, please first purchase either option and then come to the Parking Office in B132 and the parking lead will assist you in altering the parking permit days to fit your needs.

Can I pay for a quarterly parking permit in cash?

An Everyday, Monday/Wednesday, Tuesday/Thursday or Discount student parking permit can be purchased with cash in person in the Parking Office in B132. You will need to ask the parking lead for assistance.

Can I get a refund for my parking permit?

In cases where a parking permit is no longer needed, students may request a full or partial refund using the parking portal.

Refund amounts will be based on the following:

(a) Parking permit fees will be refunded at 100 percent less five dollars when the refund form is received by the fifth instructional day of the quarter.

(b) Parking permit fees will be refunded at 50 percent when the refund form is received by the sixth instructional day through the 20th instructional day of the quarter.

(c) Parking permit fees will not be refunded when the refund form is received after the 20th instructional day of the quarter.

(d) The parking permit document, card, or sticker must be returned with the refund form when requesting a refund for it to be considered submitted. In the case of a virtual permit, the permit holder must notify public safety in writing using the refund form; however, no physical permit must accompany the form.

Can I use my parking permit with multiple vehicles?

Yes. Up to two vehicles may be registered to each student account; however, only one vehicle per account may be parked on campus at a time.

Can I cancel my employee parking permit?

Yes. To cancel your employee parking permit, please email or come in to the Public Safety parking office.

How do I purchase a visitor parking permit?

Visitor daily parking permits may be purchased online by registering their license plate. Daily Visitor Passes are available at the parking meters in Lots 12, 16, the North side of the Gym, the 1st Floor of the Parking Garage near the elevators, and outside the Public Safety office (B132).

What methods of payment do you accept?

All major credit cards are accepted via Aims Mobile Pay. Cash may be used at the parking meters. Please use exact change only. No refunds will be provided.

Can I get a refund for my permit?

Same day refunds under limited circumstances at the discretion of the Director of Public Safety or his designee may be provided for daily permits purchased with credit or debit cards only with valid proof of purchase. Cash purchases are not eligible for a refund.

What is a parking citation?

Parking citations, also referred to as parking tickets, are fines issued by the Public Safety Department for violating Bellevue College parking policy.

How do I pay my parking citation?

Parking citations can be paid online via the Parking Portal.

What will I need to pay a citation?

You will need your license plate and citation number and a credit card.

Can I pay my parking citation in cash?

Yes. To pay with cash, please come to the Parking Office in B132 and ask the parking lead for assistance.

How do I appeal my citation?

Parking citations can be appealed online at the Parking Portal.

What happens if I don’t pay my citation?

Parking citations that are not appealed within 21 calendar days or paid within 21 calendar days may be subject to the following actions:

  • Vehicle impoundment in accordance with WAC 132H-116-085;
  • Denial of future parking privileges, whether student, employee, or visitors
  • Unpaid parking citations may be sent to a collections agency
  • An accumulation of citations that are not responded to and resolved, by payment or appeal, by a student or college employee may be cause for disciplinary action.

Drivers with a valid disability placard may park in any Student, Employee or Visitor lot, in any available parking space*, including, but not limited to, ADA stalls. (*This does not include those zones or areas in which the stopping, parking, or standing of all vehicles is prohibited or that are reserved for special types of vehicles.)

Placards must be visibly displayed to avoid a citation.

What should I do if I have a placard, but I receive a citation?

If an individual is in possession of an ADA placard that was not visibly present on the vehicle while parking in an ADA space their citation will be automatically waived, if they can provide documentation to public safety that the placard is registered to them.

Citations may not be waived if the citation is not a parking permit violation.
