Fire Extinguishers Fire extinguishers are located in multiple locations within each campus building.  Monthly visual checks and annual fire extinguisher inspections are conducted to ensure that the extinguishers are fully functional in case of an emergency. The fire extinguishers have readout dials, the indicator arrow on the readout dial is to be within the green zone. If the indicator arrow is on either side of the green zone, contact Public Safety to have the fire extinguisher replaced. The use of fire extinguishers is for minor fire situations, if the fire is too big and/or cannot be put out with a fie extinguisher, pull a Fire Alarm pull station and evacuate immediately. Any fire extinguisher that has been used at all, even if it wasn’t fully discharged, needs to be reported to Public Safety so a replacement fire extinguisher can be provided.
