The Student Success & Retention Office (SSR) at Bellevue College helps students persist, succeed, and graduate by providing personalized, data informed support. Through early outreach, academic coaching, and re‑engagement efforts, we connect students to equitable, holistic resources that support their well‑being and educational goals.
The Student Success & Retention Office works to empower students to achieve academic success and well-being, ensuring persistence to graduation through data-informed practices and innovative support strategies. Through our work, students receive timely, proactive support to address barriers, strengthen belonging, and make completion attainable for all.
Early Alert, Academic Standing, and Student Reengagement programs as well as Academic Support (4th repeat petition appointments, dismissal appeal appointments, and Academic Performance Plan appointments).
The Student Success & Retention Team
Peer Education is the process of learning from one’s peers. Peers are members of a shared community. At Bellevue College, it is a group of trained Bellevue College students who provide support to the Bellevue College community.
Peer Educators work within the Student Success & Retention Office providing one-on-one academic support to the Bellevue College community through campus resource referral, sharing academic experiences, and providing mentorship. Peer Educators provide outreach so you might hear directly from them or you may reach out to them because you are interested in learning how to be more successful academically.
We work with students to help them identify and get in touch with resources on campus that can help them if they are having any troubles, struggling in classes, or just need some general guidance.
