A Medieval Media Empire is the setting of Bellevue College’s online musical production of Once Upon a Mattress, a classic musical retelling of “The Princess and the Pea.” Aggravain is the Talk Show Queen who has put her husband the King on “mute.” Pregnant Lady Larkin and head of security Harry are ready to marry but Queen Aggravain will not allow any weddings until her son Prince Dauntless is married. And the Queen is going to make sure that never happens. Then our hero Princess Winnifred comes to town, with her own morning show ready to battle for the Prince she comes to love. With the help of a Minstrel, Jester, a King with a big heart and a dance from Spain that goes viral, Winnifred may just win the Prince and save the day.
