Ally Accessibility Report

Ally is an accessibility tool seamlessly integrated into Canvas that supports both instructors and students. On the instructor side, Ally scans course content like PDFs, Word documents, and images. It then provides accessibility scores with guidance on how to improve content to meet accessibility standards. On the student side, Ally offers alternative formats of uploaded files automatically. Students can choose to download content as audio, HTML, ePub, or other accessible formats based on their needs or preferences with no extra instructor work required. Together, these features promote a more inclusive and flexible learning experience for everyone.

What You Can Do With It

At Bellevue College, we’re committed to inclusive teaching and Ally makes it easier to put that commitment into practice without needing to be an expert in accessibility. With Ally, you can steadily improve your course accessibility over time, no overhaul required.
