Teams Made Simple

As you get comfortable with Canvas and Teams, stay connected, and remember that help is available when you need it.

Bulldog Ready for Class

As Week 2 wraps up, you may be getting more comfortable with Canvas, Microsoft Teams, and your class routine. You do not need to know every feature. A few simple habits can make online learning easier.

Before your next Teams meeting, sign in with your Bellevue College credentials, find the meeting link where your instructor shared it, and join a few minutes early so you can check your microphone and camera.

Once class begins, follow your instructor’s directions for using your microphone, camera, chat, and other Teams features. If you are placed in a breakout room, watch for instructions and participate with your group. You can also use live captions to support your learning. Teams may be used for virtual office hours, giving you another way to ask questions, get feedback, and connect with your instructor/s.

Building digital skills takes practice, and you do not have to figure everything out on your own. If something is not working, first check that you are using your BC account and review your Canvas class Announcements and Modules for updated information. You can also attend weekly Student Canvas Training Online Weekly for help with Canvas and related learning tools. Two weeks into the quarter, success is not about mastering every tool. It is about knowing how to connect, participate, find help, and keep building skills that support your learning. Take Care.
