In order to qualify for admission to either our BAS in Healthcare Management & Leadership or Certificate, we have a specific set up prerequisites and co-requisite requirements. Please review eligibility requirements below.
In order to qualify for admission to our BAS in Healthcare Management & Leadership you must demonstrate completion of the following courses with a grade of 2.0 or better from a regionally accredited college:
- 5-credits of English: English Composition I (ENGL& 101)
- 5-credits of Technical Writing/Research Writing (ENGL 201 or ENGL& 235)
- 5-credits of College Level Math: Statistics (MATH 130 or BA 240)
There are additional requirements unique to each concentration:
The Radiation and Imaging Management (RAIM) concentration requires:
- Proof of National Certification in radiologic technology, diagnostic ultrasound, radiation therapy or nuclear medicine
- 5-6 credits of Human Anatomy and Physiology I
- 5-6 credits of Human Anatomy and Physiology II
The Healthcare Management General (HCM) concentration requires:
- 50-credits of business, arts and humanities, social science, science, mathematics IT, accounting or healthcare-related coursework
- 5-6-credits of Natural Science with Lab
This program does not have prerequisites or co-requisites needed to be enrolled and admitted into the program. Certain classes may require or recommend students to complete prerequisites to enroll in the course. The following classes are potential prereqs for this program and classes:
- ENGL& 101 and ENGL 201
- MATH 130
To enroll in this program, students must reach out to the Program to meet with the Program Manager to discuss course options, availability and to have unofficial transcripts reviewed. Once you have met with the Program Manager, a permission number will be provided to register for the classes you are interested in taking.
