Brielle Bray, one of several sophomores honored during the day’s festivities, had a memorable closing on her home turf as she threw a complete game shutout and had five RBI’s and a home run in game one. Sophomores Jordyn Lallas, Brianne Cossey, and Halee Ross also had two hits on the day to lead Bellevue. In game two, Bellevue fell behind 7-5 before rallying late. After tying the game heading into the final inning, Cossey led off the seventh inning with a walk. Pinch hitter Alex Kubeska delivered by driving in Cossey with a single for the dramatic win. Bellevue now sits at 16-4 in league and awaits the results of Douglas College’s (15-3) make up games today to see if they earn the North Region title. Regardless of Douglas’ results, the Bulldogs will head to Portland, OR for the NWAACC Championships at Delta Park, beginning this Friday May 16.
