Bellevue College’s women’s golf team won their second match in commanding fashion by traveling to eastern Washington and defeating Spokane CC on their home soil by 36 strokes at the Bigfoot Invite held Saturday and Sunday October 4-5. Day one was held at Esmeralda GC before the teams played the Sunday final round at Indian Canyon GC. Meeker fired a 76 on both days for a two-day total of 152 and was medalist for the event. The freshman from Friday Harbor is off to a blistering start for the season placing fourth at last week’s Cardinal Classic before this weekend’s individual title.  Meeker bested teammate Meg McMullen by 10 strokes as McMullen, the freshman from Kentridge HS, finished third overall. Returning sophomore Sam Saleba shot 87-83 to round out Bellevue’s scoring. Other placers included Dana Fox (7th overall, 85-87) and Meredith Johnson (T14th, 103-91).
