Volleyball sees three move on to four-year schools

The Bellevue College Bulldogs are proud to announce that three of the graduating sophomores from 2014 have moved on to continue their career in volleyball at a four-year university.

Kayley Watkins – Morningside College

Outside hitter Kayley Watkins is moving on to Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa where she will be playing under former Olympic College head coach Beth Donnelly. Watkins become a vital part of the Bulldogs starting rotation her sophomore year and continued to grow each game, becoming a smarter player on the court. She was a big part of the Bulldogs success in the 2014 season. Watkins had a .234 hitting percentage, averaging 3.5 kills per set with 332 kills her sophomore season. She was awarded First Team All-Northern Region her sophomore year.

“I am excited to continue playing at Morningside. I can’t wait to see what the future holds and am thankful Bellevue has helped me continue pursing my passion,” said Watkins.

Roshel Muzzall – Pacific Lutheran University

Outside hitter/opposite Roshel Muzzall is continuing her career at Pacific Lutheran University. Muzzall was a strong player for the Bulldogs her freshman year and started even stronger her sophomore year. After being set back with an injury, Muzzall worked her way back into the line-up to help take her team to the NWAC Championship tournament. Muzzall had a 96.5 serving percentage with only five errors on the season and averaged 1.3 kills per set.

“Bellevue was a great time for me improving in volleyball and learning a lot about myself while overcoming some tough obstacles. But I am beyond excited to continue on to play my last 2 years of volleyball at Pacific Lutheran University. I absolutely love the school and am excited to be a part of such a successful program. It has been such a smooth transition and I cannot wait to see what the next 2 seasons bring,” said Muzzall.

Sara Pulaski – Eastern Oregon University

Libero Sara Pulaski is continuing her career at Eastern Oregon University. Sara became the starting libero for the Bulldogs in her Freshman season and held the position both years playing for Bellevue. Sara was a strong competitor, that led her team to a strong 2014 season. Pulaski had a 2.44 overall passing average with a 2.31 serve receive average.

“I’m really excited for this opportunity to continue playing. I’ll be facing a lot of new challenges and meeting new friends, I’m very grateful,” said Pulaski.
