Bellevue College’s women’s basketball team went on the road and defeated Olympic 75-69 tonight. Although Bellevue had commanding leads at times throughout the game, the Bulldogs allowed Olympic to chip away several times, resulting in a somewhat closer final score than was expected.

Mikayla Jones led BC with 26 points and 8 assists. Shelby Kassuba added 17 points and 7 rebounds.

Olympic stayed in the game as they dominated the boards over Bellevue 45-28. The Rangers also let loose from three-point land and outgunned BC 30-12 from long range.

Bellevue escapes with a win and now prepares for the big showdown this Saturday February 13 against Skagit Valley. The Bulldogs are looking to avenge their only league loss this season which was to Skagit earlier in January. Tipoff is set for 4:00 p.m. and will be televised on cable channel 28.
