Women’s Tennis Takes NWAC Title: Chapman Named Coach of the Year

Moriah Austin took home the No. 1 singles and doubles title at the NWAC Championships for Bellevue.

Bellevue College women’s tennis continued their dominance in the women’s tennis scene by taking the NWAC title yesterday at the NWAC Championships held in Spokane on Friday and Saturday May 6-7. The title was Bellevue’s 11th in the last 12 years. Bellevue’s team total of 141 points bested the next opponent, Skagit Valley, by 27 points. Moriah Austin, Bellevue’s freshman phenom, won the individual title at No. 1 singles. She also teamed with Jessie Han to take the No. 1 doubles title.

Head Coach Jason Chapman was named NWAC Coach of the Year for another season. He won the honor on both the men’s and women’s side last season.
