Bulldogs Reel Off Ninth Straight Win; Clinch Berth to NWAACC Championships

Bellevue CC will return to the NWAACC Championships after a one-year absence after defeating host Edmonds CC on Wednesday night by a convincing score of 76-61. Bryce Daub led the way with 20 points while David White added 19 along with three block shots. Joe Chartraw contributed 13 points as the Bulldogs had complete control of the game from beginning to end. The win avenged an emotional home loss to Edmonds a month ago. It also marked the first victory for Coach Jeremy Eggers in four tries against his former coach as an athlete, Keith Kingsbury. Eggers was a standout at Edmonds CC in ’89-90. The win came just in time as Kingsbury has announced his retirement this year after 32 years.

The Bulldogs have now won nine straight and play at Everett this Saturday at 7:30. The ‘dogs’ final home game will be this Monday vs. Peninsula. Bellevue is now attempting to win the region title with three games remaining in regular season play. Details on the season-ending NWAACC Championships can be found at nwaacc.org.
