Bellevue Sweeps Olympic; Winning Streak Reaches 11

The BCC softball team continued their winning ways this weekend sweeping a double header at home against Olympic College continuing their dominance of the North Region.

Bellevue controlled every facet of the game in the first contest on their way to an 8-0 victory. Freshman Michelle Ruby went the distance for the Bulldogs picking up the victory giving up only 1 hit in the shutout. Freshman Korri Heideman went deep for Bellevue racking up the only home run of the contest. BCC also outhit the Rangers 10-1.

The second contest proved to be a lot closer with the Bulldogs picking up a 9-6 victory to complete the sweep. Sophomore Christine Miller-Long picked up the victory on the mound for Bellevue while Ruby along with freshman Nicole Higgins and sophomore Erica Addison all added long balls for the Bulldogs.

With the victories, BCC improves to 12-2 on the season including a perfect 8-0 in the North Region. Next up for Bellevue will be a double header Tuesday April 8th at Skagit Valley CC with first pitch scheduled for 2pm.
