Softball Wins 13 of Last 14 to Claim First

The softball team (20-4, 28-10) finished off a strong season by claiming another North Division Championship and a #1 seed into the NWAACC Tournament May 15-17 at Delta Park in Portland, OR.

May 7 the Bulldogs traveled to Lynnwood to take on Edmonds (0-24) and came away with two wins 9-0 and 7-3. Pitcher Lauren Reid got the victory in game one, as well as a homerun. In game two, Michelle Ruby got the victory, while Lauren Reid and Korri Heideman both hit homeruns.

The Bulldogs ended the regular season at home May 9 against second place Shoreline (17-7) with little at stake as they had already wrapped up the division title. In game one, the Bulldogs lost 1-4 with Michelle Ruby taking the loss on the mound. Rallying once again, in game two, Lauren Reid earned the victory on the mound, then got help at the plate with homeruns from herself, Michelle Ruby and Deavonnie Spadoni to win 5-3.

The Bulldogs travel to Portland, OR to take part in the NWAACC Championship Tournament May 15-17.
