Bellevue Sweeps Skagit; #1 Seed in Upcoming Region Tourney at Courter Field

Bellevue College baseball won their final two regular season games by scores of 5-2 and 8-7. Kyle Swannack completed his phenomenal league record by recording a win over every team in the North Region. Swannack struck out seven in another complete game. His consecutive streak of shutouts over the North Region ended when Skagit pushed across two runs in the third inning. In game two, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 6-2 lead as Tyler Baumgartner collected three hits in the game. Tyler Cox and Emmett Niland each had two hits while Jerad Casper tied Kyle Johnson and Cox for the home run lead with his ninth homer in the 5th. Matt Cooper fanned eight and gave up no earned runs through seven innings of work for the win. Bellevue now opens up the North Region Tourney against the same team, Skagit Valley, this Friday May 20 at 4:30 PM at Courter Field.
