Bulldogs Lead the Way With Seven on All-North Region Team; Kyle Swannack Named Region MVP

Bellevue College baseball landed a region-high seven members on the first team All-North Region baseball team as selected by coaches. Co-captain Tyler Cox was a unanimous repeat selection as catcher while returning sophomores Kyle Johnson and Dan Schmidt made it for the first time. Outfielders Kyle Conwell and Andy Smith were selections along with Tyler Baumgartner (designated hitter) and Adrian Sampson, who were two of the four freshmen named to the first team. Matt Cooper and Jerad Casper were named to the second team. Kyle Swannack, who threw shutouts against every opponent in the region until the final week, was named MVP of the North Region. He was 6-0 in league with a 0.47 ERA and struck out 44 batters while surrendering only one walk and two total runs in 38 innings pitched.

The Gold Glove Team was also selected. Here is the list for 2011 for the North Region:
