Six New Players for BC Championship Women’s Tennis Program

Bellevue’s eight-time NWAACC Women’s Tennis Champion team begins their 2013 season the weekend of March 9 and 10, at the Spring Invitational in Stanwood, and look forward to another successful season. Having to reload from last year, six new players have been added to the team which currently consists of sophomore Preet Kaur, along with freshmen Sadie Dedon, Lorraine Eng, Naline Long, Kristi Nasu, Barbara Smith, and Rixing Xu.

“Practices have been going great so far, the new players are getting used to the way I do things and we are working very hard,” said head coach Jason Chapman. The Spring Invitational will be a good test for the new players to see where they stack up in the NWAACC Conference, then they play five four-year schools in a row before playing their first Conference match on April 5 against Spokane, always a tough competitor. “As usual, we look ahead to only the next match we play and hopefully we will get the experience during the season that we need to do well at the Conference Tournament in May,” said Chapman.
