Women’s Basketball Win Final Two League Games; Outright North Region Champs!

The Bulldogs women’s basketball team got revenge on the only team to beat them in league play by defeating Skagit Valley by a score of 56-48 on Wednesday February 19. The Bulldogs then followed up the win with a victory on Sunday February 23 over Peninsula by a score of 67-62. The win on sophomore night clinched the outright North Region title with a 13-1 league record.

In the win over Skagit Valley, the Bulldogs took advantage of the cold-shooting Cardinals, who hit only 25% of their shots all game. Alexis Berrysmith led the way with 12 points and also led the team in rebounds with 10.

Against Peninsula, Airashay Rogers had a memorable sophomore day with 21 points and six rebounds. Down by one at halftime, the Bulldogs reeled off 40 points in the second half in the comeback win.

Bellevue opens up the NWAACC Championships this weekend in Kennewick with a 6:00 game against Spokane.
