Women’s Tennis Drops Contest to University of Puget Sound

Bellevue College women’s tennis lost 6-3 to the University of Puget Sound on Saturday March 29 at the Tennis Pavilion on the University of Puget Sound campus. #1 singles Rixing Xu, the returning Baden NWAACC Player of the Year, remains unbeaten in 2014; even against her four-year college opponents. Xu defeated her UPS #1 singles opponent. BC also won the #3 and #4 singles matches. Although Bellevue has lost all three of their matches against four-year colleges (UPS, Linfield, Pacific Lutheran University), the team is well-prepared to open up league play this weekend against their two-year rivals. Bellevue opens up conference play this Friday April 4 against Skagit Valley; the team who took down Bellevue last spring, ending the Bulldogs’ eight year reign as NWAACC champions last May.
