Softball Splits With Everett

Freshman Taylor Turner had two RBI's in the big 5-run inning to propel Bellevue to the win in game one against EverettBellevue College softball took game one over Everett CC by a score 11-7 of before losing the second game 9-7 on Saturday May 3. In game one, down 3-2, the Bulldogs put up a big inning in the fourth, plating 5 runs. Taylor Turner and Brianne Cossey both had 2 RBI singles to give Bellevue the lead for good. Brielle Bray struck out 7 in the complete game effort pitching. Bray helped her own cause by initiating the big fourth inning by leading off with a single and scoring the first run. In game two, Bellevue spotted Everett with a 5-0 lead in the first inning which the Bulldogs could not overcome. Lauren Burchak had a three-run home run in the third inning, and had 4 RBI’s on the day. Bray went 2-for-3 with 2RBI’s also. Bellevue is now 12-4 in league and entertains first-place Douglas College this Tuesday May 6 at 2PM in a key doubleheader as the post season playoffs rapidly approach.
