Bellevue College Brings Back Men’s Tennis as Intercollegiate Sport

After a 17 year absence, men’s tennis is returning to Bellevue College. Women’s Coach Jason Chapman received the word before the women’s team left for the NWAACC Conference Tournament. Coach Chapman will coach both the men’s and women’s tennis teams in the 2014-15 Season. Athletic Director Bill O’Connor notes “We are very excited to start a men’s tennis program at Bellevue College. We feel it will be good for both the college and the NWAACC conference.”

The return of Bellevue College tennis gives the NWAACC Conference four men’s teams – Bellevue College, Community Colleges of Spokane, Treasure Valley and Skagit Valley. In the early stages of recruiting first year players, Coach Chapman is “very optimistic that I will be able to field a very competitive team next year”.
