Strong Performance by the Bulldogs Against Edmonds; Win Match in Three

The Bellevue Bulldogs defeated the Edmonds Tritons at home Friday evening in a strong performance. In game one the Bulldogs came out swinging winning 25-10. The Tritons battled back but the Bulldogs were able to take the match in three winning games two and three 25-17 and 25-18. The offense was led by outside hitter Kayley Watkins with 9 followed by middle blocker Kelcie Russell with 8. The team as a whole had 10 blocks in the match led by Russell with four solo blocks. Setter Dani Smullin had 35 assists for the Bulldogs.
“I am so proud of the continuing growth of our team this season and their will to get better. To come out strong and win a game 25-10 just shows that we are improving and are headed in the right direction,” says Coach Lawrence.

The Bulldogs travel to Everett on Wednesday night October 15 before hosting an NWAC Crossover Tourney, featuring top-ranked Blue Mountain in addition to Columbia Basin, Chemeketa, Edmonds, Green River, Linn-Benton, Lower Columbia, Olympic, and Walla Walla. The deep tourney features six of the top teams in the entire NWAC.
