BC men’s soccer continues to make strides in it’s competitiveness amongst the top teams in the NWAC.  Bellevue led 1-0 into the closing minutes against top-ranked Peninsula before allowing a goal with only four minutes to play and ending up in a tie 1-1 on Saturday October 25.  Newcomer Anthony Dean scored late in the second half for the game’s first goal. As the game approached the five minute mark it appeared Bellevue was on the verge of one of the biggest upsets of the year before Peninsula’s Santiago Sierra scored. Bellevue keeper Danny Faundez had eight saves in goal for the ‘dogs, who are now in third place at 5-6-2. Bellevue is now done with league play and is projected to play in the opening round of the NWAC Championships on November 5 at Chemeketa, who is currently the South Region #2 seed.
