Women’s Soccer Falls to Everett 3-0

Bellevue College women’s soccer lost 3-0 yesterday to Everett, ending their season at 7-5-6. The final eight placing was the best finish of a BC women’s soccer team since the early 2000’s.  Head Coach Kiko Magana has improved BC women’s soccer in each of his two years and he guided the Bulldogs to the final eight of the NWAC Championships.  Although knotted at 0-0 at halftime, Everett came out and scored quickly in the second half on a goal by Karissa Burnett (the sister of former BC women’s soccer player Amanda Burnett). Everett continued with shots on goal as BC goalkeeper Maggie Alikpala-Wilson had seven saves although giving up three. With a large number of freshmen players on the BC women’s soccer roster, next season appears to be strong already.
