Ward Explodes for 33 Points; Leads Bellevue to 92-85 Win Over Olympic

Sophomore Jalen Ward went off on Wednesday night February 11, scoring 33 points in a high-scoring affair as Bellevue College defeated visiting Olympic 92-85. Ward was not only a threat with the hot shooting hand, but also led Bellevue in rebounds and assists as he pulled down six rebounds and dished out seven assists.Ward was 4-of-7 from three point range and was efficient from the free throw line sinking 9-of-11 on the night. Backcourt teammate Dominique Jordan added 20 points, as the two combined for more than half of the team’s total points. Both teams were red hot shooting, as there were over 120 shot attempts in the game. Both teams shot over 50% in the first half which set the tone for the style of game that would ensue.  Bellevue’s historic dominating season continues as the number one ranked team runs it’s league record to 9-0 and 22-2 overall. The Bulldogs travel up north to Mount Vernon to take on Skagit Valley Saturday February 14 for a 7PM game.
