Bellevue Softball Takes Two From Edmonds

Bellevue College softball bounced back from a tough day against Everett by sweeping Edmonds CC at home on Saturday, April 4, winning by scores of 12-0 and 15-2. The Bulldogs had 19 hits on the day, as both games were called after five innings due to the run limit rule.

In game one, Brooke Bonsen scattered four hits in the complete game shutout. Cassidy Mast and Katie Jackson both were a perfect 3-for-3 while Jackson also had five RBI’s. Jackson had a double and a home run in her hitting spree. Tessani Dixon clubbed here twelfth home run of the year while Nikki Tiffany hit a three-run homer as well.

In the second game, Dixon put on a show by hitting not one, but two grand slam home runs, one in the third and one in the fourth, for eight RBI’s in the game. Megan Lindgren hit a three-run homer while Ali Roselli was 3-for-3 in the game. Dixon also went the distance on the mound allowing only one hit, and two unearned runs.

Bellevue is now 5-3 in league (13-9 overall) and has a key matchup at Olympic College who stands at 6-3 in league on Tuesday, April 7. First pitch at Lyons Park in Bremerton is 1:00 p.m.
