Bulldog Women’s Golf Take Final Match; Completes Sweep Winning All League Matches

Bellevue College women’s golf not only won the final NWAC League Match held Sunday, May 3 and Monday, May 4, but also completed the sweep of winning every league match this season dating back to the fall. Bellevue won by 29 strokes, shooting a two-day total of 506 (74 over par). SW Oregon was runner-up with a total of 535.

Lindsey Gullikson led the team and also took home medalist honors shooting 82 on Sunday at Willows Run GC before going low in the clutch on Monday shooting 77 at Glendale CC. Gullikson, who was one stroke behind day one leader Naydeen Martinez of Columbia Basin, who defeated Gullikson last week in a playoff in Yakima.

Kendra Meeker and Meg McMullen finished sixth and seventh overall respectively in the individual standings. Meeker bounced back from an 89 on Sunday with an 84 on Monday for a two-day total of 173. McMullen shot 87-89 for a 176 total. Sam Saleba was another Bulldog golfer to finish in the top ten. Saleba finished tenth with rounds of 89-92. Other scores for Bellevue were Dana Fox (96-87) and Meredith Johnson (100-100).

Bellevue is looking to take their win streak to the NWAC Championships which will be held at Oakbrook Golf and Country Club in Lakewood, WA on May 17-18.
