Volleyball Goes 2-2 at NWAC Championships

Bellevue College volleyball went 2-2 at the NWAC Championships this past weekend at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center. Bellevue won their opener over Lower Columbia on Thursday November 19 by scores of 25-18,23-25,25-23,25-16. In the winner’s bracket, Bellevue lost a tough one to eventual champion Blue Mountain CC leading two games to none, then falling by scores of 22-25,22-25,25-23,25-22,15-11.

In the loser’s bracket, Bellevue fell behind early to region-rival Skagit Valley but came back to win 19-25,25-21,15-10.  The Bulldogs would then go down to the Cinderella team, Clark College, who ended up finishing runner-up behind Blue Mountain by scores of 22-25,25-22,15-6.

Bellevue ended the season with a 9-3 league record (second place) and a 23-16 record overall. The Bulldogs were ranked seventh in the final NWAC Coaches’ Poll.
