Men’s Basketball Continues Hot Streak; Defeats Skagit Valley

The Bellevue College men’s basketball team continued their reversal of play from the first half of the season by winning their fourth straight game tonight with an 81-73 win over Skagit Valley. The Bulldogs are 4-0 in the second half of league play after starting off 0-6. Bellevue jumped out 36-28 in the first half and stayed in control the rest of the way with hot shooting in the second half.

Yonathan Michael was one of those getting hot in the second half, draining several three pointers and finishing with a team-high 23 points. Brian Zehr’s return from injury has been a big lift as he put in 22 points on 9-for-11 shooting. Jordan Muir-Kueng had 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Bellevue (4-6 league, 13-12 overall) is now only one game out of the playoff mix and host Edmonds this Wednesday February 17 at 7:00 p.m.
