After coming out of the gates strong on Sunday May 15,  the Bellevue College Bulldogs men’s golf team fell victim to other schools who were on fire on day two at the NWAC Championships, finishing sixth overall. Bellevue was on top of the leaderboard after day one on Sunday with a three-over par team total. However, the squad’s 16-over par total on day two was not enough to hold the lead as Spokane was crowned NWAC champions. Bellevue’s two-day total of 19-over par was nine short of Spokane’s total.

Dexter Simonds, Bellevue freshman golfer, finished tied for eighth overall with scores of 72-75. Eddie Abellar shot 72-76 for a tie for thirteenth place. Isaac Hall (73-76) and captain Brady Campbell (74-77) rounded out Bellevue’s team scoring.

With four returners and several key immediate impact incoming freshmen already signed and/or committed for next year, the Bulldogs are in place to be contenders again next fall and spring.
