Bellevue College men’s basketball fell victim to the hot shooting visiting team Skagit Valley College as the Bulldogs lost their home league opener 89-76 last night. In a similar story that has prevailed all year, the Bulldogs have found it tough to win when their perimeter shooting is off. After an evenly battled contest in the first half resulting in a 38-37 lead for Bellevue, the Bulldogs then could not find their touch from the field, shooting 9% (1-for-11) from three-point territory. Skagit Valley made 7-of-11, good enough for 63%, which was a main factor for the Cardinals’ win in Bellevue’s home gym.

Taylor Freeman led BC with 18 points. Jordan Muir-Keung had 17 and also led BC with 6 rebounds along with Max Tilden.

Bellevue is 1-1 in league and hosts Everett this Wednesday January 18 at 7:00 p.m.
