Although spirits may have been down after last night’s 77-65 loss at Shoreline, the Bulldogs remain only one game back of second place as co-leader Peninsula was upset by Skagit Valley last night, putting Bellevue in a tie for third place at 7-5 (17-10 overall) with Whatcom and only one game back of Peninsula (8-4) for second place. The win by Skagit Valley makes the North Region race even more interesting as Skagit and Everett are now both 6-6, only one game back of Bellevue. Two games separate second from sixth place in the North, and only the top four will advance in playoffs.

Last night at Shoreline, the Dolphins used long range shooting to win comfortably, as they held a 32-24 lead at halftime over Bellevue and then outscored the ‘dogs 45-41 in the second half. From beyond three-point range, Shoreline outscored BC 27-18. Max Tilden led Bellevue with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Jordan Muir-Keung had 12 points and also led the Bulldogs with 5 steals and 6 assists.

Bellevue battles the team they are currently tied for third place with, Whatcom, this Sunday, Feb. 26 in a 3:00 p.m. tipoff.
