Bulldogs Win Thriller 75-73

Bellevue College men’s basketball can’t make the season any more stressful and exciting at the same time as the Bulldogs pulled off a huge 75-73 win yesterday at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion.

To make the suspense even greater is BC has one more game in league play remaining, on Wednesday, March 1 at Olympic The Bulldogs are battling for a playoff spot that could put them from anywhere from second to sixth place in one night. Only the top four teams advance to the playoffs. Potentially, a two-way tie for second, or a three-way tie for third could happen for the Bulldogs pending Wednesday’s game.

In the win over Whatcom, Bellevue gutted out a win in a battle that was nearly equal in every facet of the game. Bellevue held a narrow 40-38 lead at halftime and played Whatcom even in the second half as Jordan Muir-Keung had 23 points. The sophomore was deadly from the foul line making 10-of-14. He also had 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists. Jaden Vollmen had 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Vollmen also pulled down 6 rebounds.

The Wednesday matchup is set for 7:00 p.m.
