Bellevue Gets Early NWAC Challenge From Highline; Wins 5-4

Bellevue College women’s tennis, a powerhouse in the NWAC, learned quickly that there is a new team ready to challenge them in Highline College; a first-year program who nearly beat the Bulldogs but ultimately fell in doubles play to lose 5-4 to Bellevue. Defending NWAC champ Moriah Austin lost #1 singles. Bellevue’s #3 singles Marissa Kirk was the first Bulldog to get on the board with a hard-fought 6-3, 2-6, 6-0 win. As the six singles matches were tied up at three apiece, BC prevailed by winning two of three doubles matches. Here are the complete results below.
