Softball Sweeps Skagit Valley

Bellevue College softball won a pair of games over visiting Skagit Valley by scores of 13-2 and 10-6 yesterday at Bellevue HS. Cierra Barkis hit a home run and had three RBI’s while Kiley Ochoa went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the offense. Bellevue put up six runs in both the second and fourth innings to end the game after five due to the run-mercy rule. Ryley Eldridge went the distance in the circle scattering six hits. In game two, Payton Gibbs clubbed her 12th home run and had 4 RBI’s as did freshman Emma Jimenez as BC won a closer battle. Bri Attwood also hit a home run driving in her 21st RBI on the year as well. Kimber Tutt got the win in the circle in a three-pitcher effort as Tutt, Eldridge, and Gibbs all combined for innings in game two.

Bellevue is now 7-5 in league and 17-7 overall. The Bulldogs host Shoreline this Wednesday April 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Robinswood Park.
