Although Bellevue College men’s golf played consistently from day one to day two at the NWAC League Match hosted by Green River, it was not enough to overcome the even better consistent play of champion North Idaho College. The Cardinals narrowly defeated BC by seven strokes.

BC shot 304 on day one which was held at Druids Glen GC. Playing under somewhat odd circumstances, the tourney field had to play multiple holes twice as several of the greens were damaged at the course. Isaac Hall shot 1-under par to lead Bellevue. Unfortunately, Bellevue’s remaining golfers struggled somewhat as a couple of ballooned scores put Bellevue behind North Idaho which the ‘dogs ultimately could not overcome.

On day two, the players moved to Washington National GC as BC shot 292 as a team. Dexter Simonds led the Bulldogs with a scorching 4-under par, including 3-under on the back nine. Curtis Koltermann shot even par for the day.

The Bulldogs have another league match this weekend in Spokane at Liberty Lake and MeadowWood GC. The Bulldogs tee off at Liberty Lake on Saturday April 29 followed by Sunday’s rounds at MeadowWood. Bellevue’s final league match is a pivotal one as they are three points behind North Idaho for the regular season crown. Points are awarded based off team finish.
