Bulldog Men On Fire With 98-91 win Over Highline: Tourney Title Game Against Whatcom Tomorrow

In a continuing trend from the previous night, the threesome of Ting-Jhao Jian, Kai Warren, and Curtis Walker led Bellevue College men’s basketball to an impressive 98-91 win in semi-final play tonight in the Bulldog Classic at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion.

Jian, who has been consistent all year, is close to becoming near perfect from the floor as he was 9-for-10 from the field, including 3-of-4 from three point land, and a perfect 10-for-10 from the line to lead Bellevue with a game-high 31 points. The sophomore guard also allowed others to shine with a team-leading 10 assists. Warren, the consistent freshman who has been brilliant all year had 19 points while Walker, who had his breakout last night, had 20 points and literally controlled the rebounding front with a game-high 19 rebounds. Walker’s presence underneath has been a strong point for Bellevue’s latest surge. Trenton Newhouse threw up nothing but three-pointers in the game and cashed in with efficiency, draining 4-of-6 for 12 points.

Bellevue will now play in the title game against North Region rival Whatcom tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.
